I go to a lot of local political events for the newspaper. I had to photograph one tonight for a member of the Colombian community that is running for City Council. It started at 6. I got there at 6:45 because these things never start on time, and especially when it is on Latin time. Seriously, the candidate told me that his speech would start at 7:30, Latin time, which really meant 8:30. About 10 people got up and spoke about what a great candidate he is, which is fine. The only thing that was really annoying was that the whole presentation was in Spanish. There is nothing worse than going to a political event and listening to boring speeches, except when there are political speeches in a language you don't really understand.
